On my travels today on the minibus, we had to pick up someone on the outskirts of Norwich ... and I heard a "strange" noise" ... I looked up into the sky ... it was a skylark, belting it out, warbling, whistling and tweeting away very high up ... I stood there watching n listening ..I can't recall hearing one for ages and so loudly ...

Apparently the skylark is a species of high conservation concern.
