Consultation events organised by Norfolk County Council and our Partners

To help make our consultation accessible to a wide range of people, we are holding events for the following groups: Physical Disabilities; Learning Disabilities; Carers; Older People; Children and Young People; Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic; and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans.

In addition, we are working with our partners to hold events for Town and Parish Councils and for Voluntary and Community Sector organisations.

These events will look at all the Council’s draft proposals, and provide an opportunity for residents from these groups and organisations to discuss any issues arising from the proposals that have a particular impact on them.

Please find the dates for all events below. Attendance at an event must be booked in advance. Please see information at the end of this section on who can attend, how to book and accessibility.

What steps are we taking to make these events accessible?

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure people can access the consultation events. We have taken this into account with the venues we use and with the consultation event booking process. Our booking process asks for specific information about any access requirements you may have. For this reason, it is important for you to book a place at an event rather than turning up on the day.

Who can attend?

We welcome anyone from one of the groups above, their carers or someone with an interest in these groups.

How do I book my place?

Attendance at any of the events must be booked in advance. This is to help us manage each event and understand any specific requirements you may have to enable you to attend. You can book a place to attend an event by completing our online registration form.

Should you experience difficulty with booking, please email consultationteam@norfolk.gov.uk or call the Consultation and Community Relations team on 01603 679343.

Transport for disability consultation events

We kindly request those booking events to make your own transport arrangements to attend these. However, if you have a disability and have difficulty arranging transport, we would like to discuss this with you. To help us, please complete the online booking form to attend a local event as soon as possible. This must be completed not later than two weeks before your local disability consultation event – We cannot guarantee assistance with transport requirements submitted after this date. Alternatively, if you have difficulty with the online form, you may wish to contact the Consultation and Community Relations team using the contact information above.
