Computer is driving me mad, it has started shutting down when in sleep mode, nothing I do rectifies it

Annie have you set it to turn off never.....Settings > System > Power and select 'never' for all options.

Hope you get your computer sorted out Annie, it can be very frustrating. ++

I have just done that Mo & it still shuts down when I press sleep

I did that & it now works if I leave it for a short while 5or 10 min, but if I leave it for more that it shuts down. I rang Aidis & Tony couldn't fix it either, but he said to ring Paul tomorrow, something to do with BIOS & he needs to talk me through it

Did you tell him the laptop is only about 5 months old?
I would not want to meddle with Bios on such a new laptop.

Annie, try doing a system restore.
It always works for me.

Don't think I haven't considered that Jane! lol. I have tried everything and nothing has worked, so this am I let Paul from Aidis Trust have a go remotely & it seems like it is sorted.
