Norwich church equips parents for online safety

King’s Community Church in Norwich are hosting a two hour workshop providing parental guidance on how to help your children stay safe online and avoid the damaging impact of online pornography.

On Friday, November 11, 7.30pm – 9.30pm King’s Community Church are hosting a parenting course run by a team from the ‘Naked Truth Project’.

The evening aims to equip parents and carers in the subject of parenting their child or young person to avoid the hazards and pitfalls of online pornography. The material is aimed at parents and carers of children aged 8 – 18.

The ‘Naked Truth Project’ is a charity that delivers workshops for parents and lessons within schools across the UK. This workshop is a 2 hour session which will include up to date information on digital culture, practical advice on how to use online filters and safe searches to protect younger children from accidental exposure as well as tips on how to engage and discuss with teenagers about their online world.

The evening is for parents both within the church and who don’t normally attend church and will be advertised in schools, community centres and local churches.

There is a small charge for the evening of £4 which will include tea, coffee and material for parents to use after the course. Spaces are limited so please book early.
