I have a little bobble maker that I picked up in a charity shop in desperation.. I have done the two pieces of card bit but I always end up with long and short bits and by the time I have trimmed it it is smaller than it should be  sp0

I will have another go though -if I get it right I could make some mini-snowballs !

I love making pom poms

the last time I made them Liv was in nursery. they all had to wear black plimsoles and Liv hates being the same as evveryone so she asked me to make some purple pom poms to sew on the top of her plimmies!! She looked great. They were fab until everyone started copying her then off they came and I ahd to glue stars and moons on them so she was different again!

I have only ever used cardboard i have cut to size. they take longer than you think too!!

Hope you have some lovely snowballs and seasonal baubles

go90  The first time I made pompoms I was at primary school - we were told to have some milk bottle tops, well washed.  Possibly no-one remembers those milk tops - they were waxed cardboard and there was a groove in the glass milk bottle so that the tops would fit snugly.  There was a perforation in the centre so that a round hole could be made by pushing the perforated centre.  This disc with the hole in the centre was what we used to wind the wool around.  When the hole in the middle was completely filled in you knew there was enough wool there to make a proper pompom.

I think |I might make some but will have to make the disc to start with.  ju098
