Are you a current carer in Norfolk

Postby wendy » 10 May 2016, 08:16

Dear All

Are you a current carer and would you like to be involved in a focus group/ group conversation?

Norfolk County Council has commissioned the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) to undertake an independent review of its frontline social work practice in relation to the Care Act principles and duties, and particularly its approach to assessment and review of personal budgets. The purpose of the review is for SCIE to help the council examine the quality of current practice, guidance and procedures, their strengths and weaknesses, and to provide the council with feedback and recommendations for next steps, including learning and development activities to promote best practice and consistency at the level required.

Carers Council for Norfolk has been asked if it can nominate current carers for a focus group and for a group conversation ideally taking place during week commencing 16 May at a Norwich based venue (not County Hall). If you are able to attend please let me know. Norfolk County Council are looking to work with carers where they or their cared for have recently been assessed and receiving services.

It is a great opportunity to be able to directly feedback your experience.

Kind Regards
